Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She worked later as an anchor for morning news on WCBD TV and also as an investigative reporter. While in Charleston O'Dell's reports regarding the police's lenient approach to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the State authorities issuing the strictest guidelines regarding the instances. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell an award for the Best Report of the year Award to every aspect of South Carolina media. In the years following her stay living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter. Then she joined Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. O'Dell anchors the main newscast for Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's covered events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
